Typography is a discovery of Chinese.

Originally developed by the method of woodcuts, the carving that a positive image of the page to be printed on a piece of wood and then printing by pressing the wood with paper or fabric, which in the meantime has been smeared with ink.

This method appeared in China in antiquity and the first newspaper there published the 9th century
