Tsifteteli

The tsifteteli is facing mainly improvised, women's dance widespread both in Greece and the Balkans, and in the East.
The scholars said the most likely place of origin of ancient Greece, as it is the ancient dance of Aristophanes "Kordakα". Others try to give the origin of the elements from Central Asia.
The etymology maybe comes from that once played a dual chord.
That is, the old Asia Minor Greeks and general musicians from the East, placed the two highest strings of the violin close and put on the same note differing octaves to the melody sounding stronger.
The Byzantine music in the range of dance, is obvious.
